We take a very proactive approach in working with our customers to develop their businesses. This involves regular contact from our sales team to discuss menu options, special order requirements, seasonal availability and price changes. We have a daily “Specials Board” which is sent to customers each morning via email, text or Whatsapp to let them know what the best value lines are for that day.
We stock approximately 850 fresh and frozen seafood lines and with over 75 years experience in the trade we have a close working relationship with all our suppliers. Our buyers are in contact with the markets throughout Ireland and UK early every morning to check what fish is available and get an indication on prices. Orders are then placed for same day despatch to our factory based on the quantities we expect to need for our customers. We source as much fish as we can from the local ports of Kilkeel, Ardglass and Portavogie in order to guarantee the freshest quality products for our customers.
Keenan Seafood has invested significantly in its facilities and people over the past number of years to ensure it provides a quality service to all its customers. We have a modern fleet of 10 refrigerated vehicles making deliveries to customers throughout N Ireland six days per week. Our factory is fitted out to the latest EU specification and we have a comprehensive Quality Management System in place to ensure we meet all the relevant technical standards. Achievement of the Investors in People Accreditation indicates that everyone in the company is committed to making the business a success for ourselves and our customers.
